Russia has warned of the expansion of ISIS terrorist group activities in Afghanistan and its infiltration into neighboring countries, including Central Asia and the South Caucasus. Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Russian Federal Security Service, emphasized on Wednesday, June 11, at the anti-terrorism meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Moscow, that recent crises in the Middle East, including developments in Syria and Libya, have created favorable conditions for the strengthening of ISIS and its branches. Bortnikov also pointed out that ISIS is exploiting security gaps in Afghanistan and, by connecting with terrorists released from Syrian prisons, has
