Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responded to recent statements by former U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that the leftover weapons from U.S. forces in Afghanistan belong to the Taliban and will not be returned to the United States under any circumstances. Balkhi also added that, in order to improve relations between the Taliban and the U.S., the group has proposed that the United States could invest in Afghanistan’s mineral resources.
