Sources in Khost province report that the Taliban have dismissed 120 professors and staff members from Sheikh Zayed University under the guise of “downsizing.”
\nThe sources add that these individuals were dismissed from the university by order of Taliban officials, and a similar decision is being implemented for other faculties.
\nMost of the dismissed professors hold master’s and doctoral degrees and had been teaching at the university since the previous government.
\nSome of these professors cited economic hardship and unemployment, as teaching at the university was their only source of income.
